The Good Girl by Mary Kubica
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Equally intriguing and surprising, The Good Girl is full of sharp, flawed characters and compelling plotting that had me flipping the pages as fast as I could to see how it would end.
The story follows Mia, who is kidnapped by Colin. Colin is supposed to turn Mia over to his employers, but instead takes her to a cabin in the woods and hides her there. But Mia’s mother, Eve, and Detective Gabe Hoffman will stop at nothing to find her.
I was hooked from the very first page. Although it did slow down in the middle, the tension really ramped up again towards the end, and the epilogue packed a punch that left me reeling. An altogether mesmerizing read.
