All the stabby stars for this one, and what a *perfect* Halloween read! What a stunning debut! Fierce and bold with an elegant, atmospheric heart, I couldn’t put this southern Gothic thriller down. Our protagonist, Chloe, is compelling despite her many (understandable) flaws, and I found myself flying through the chapters, desperate to find out more of her story. Haunting, edgy, mesmerizing, this tantalizing thriller is a fresh take on a serial killer story and has earned a rare shelving on my ‘face-meltingly-good’ list.
