Dark Corners by Megan Goldin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
A dark and dizzying delight! As the release date for a murderer approaches, a social media influencer who visited him goes missing. Rachel Krall, a true crime podcaster, goes undercover in the world of social media influencers to investigate her disappearance.
Exploring the world of influencers, Rachel investigates a past crime while trying to avoid a future crime from potentially occurring. Meanwhile she’s forced to confront the dangers that lurk in the dark corners of the internet. Dark Corners is intoxicatingly original and utterly absorbing. I highly recommend!
This is technically the second Rachel Krall book, The Night Swim being the first, but this one can be read as a standalone, and the two books don’t interact in any way besides Rachel being the protagonist.
