B.A. Paris returns to her psychological suspense roots in The Therapist, an absolutely flawless, addictive and utterly compelling read. With a ratcheting sense of unease and suffused with dread, you won’t be able to put it down until you’ve inhaled every last page.
The story follows Alice, who learned that the house she’s moved into with her partner was previously the scene of a murder. And the more she learns about the other residents of The Circle, the more afraid she is that the murderer is still among them. Addictive and claustrophobic, this is a perfect summer read about the secrets hidden just beneath the surface of a seemingly perfect neighborhood. I couldn’t put it down.
Thank you so much to Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
