Thought I Knew You by Kate Moretti
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Utterly compelling, lyrically beautiful and sharply insightful, Thought I Knew You packs a powerful emotional punch.
The story follows Claire, who’s husband doesn’t return home from a business trip. Desperate to find him, she enlists the help of her best friend Drew and starts searching for him, all the while trying to come to terms with the fact he may never come home. But then she uncovers secrets her husband has been hiding for years. Meanwhile she’s fighting a growing attraction for Drew, one she’s showed aside since she got married.
The beautiful thing about this book is how it shows that life isn’t perfect, there are no perfect choices, but that adapting and making the best of things is really the best choice we have.
A cross between domestic suspense, romance, and women’s fiction, Thought I Knew You is a beautiful story in which a woman comes into her own in her roles as wife and mother. I highly recommend!
