Keep You Close - Lucie Whitehouse

Keep You CloseKeep You Close by Lucie Whitehouse
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After 10 years not talking to her best friend, Rowan receives a call that Marianne has died. Convinced it wasn’t an accident, Rowan returns to Oxford and begins investigating Marianne’s death. Well-plotted, fast-paced and intriguing, Keep You Close is simultaneously atmospheric and tense with an ending I didn’t see coming.

You initially feel like you’re seeing things from a very limited point of view, as the whole book is told from Rowan’s POV. However, this narrow POV serves its own purpose as the circumstances of the estrangement and Marianne’s death begin to unfold.

With twists and turns at an ever-increasing pace as you read, this is a fantastic domestic thriller by Lucie Whitehouse exploring friendship and trust and how it can change over time.
