Fantastic novel by Lucy Atkins with well-developed and life-like characters, creepy scenes, a myriad of twists and turns and an absolutely spot-on ending. Multi-layered and enjoyable from start to finish, The Night Visitor follows Professor Olivia Sweetman and draws you into her life from the very start.
The book alternates POV between Olivia, a borderline narcissist and Vivian Tester, a socially awkward sixty-year-old housekeeper, weaving a tangled, creepy, and sometimes menacing relationship. A bit darker than Lucy Atkins other books, but such a compelling, twisty read it has to be my favorite of hers so far. I highly recommend.
