After reading The Life I Left Behind (also by Colette McBeth), I instantly downloaded Precious Thing. And it didn’t disappoint. Taut and gripping, this is an intense psychological thriller that I really enjoyed. Colette McBeth painted a vivid story in my mind so I felt like was right there, standing within the pages.
When Rachel’s best friend Clara goes missing, she’s determined to find out why. But things aren’t as they seem and Rachel isn’t who the reader initially thought. The themes of friendship and betrayal are interesting, the story raw and haunting. I enjoyed both the plot and the character development. Great read!
