Night Will Find You by Julia Heaberlin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Dark, elegant and utterly captivating, Night Will Find You is an unforgettable story written with richly evocative prose and genuine heart. I found myself completely immersed. A lyrical exploration of the fine line between scientific fact and the things we can’t explain.
Vivvy is an astrophysicist, but she’s also a psychic. When she’s unwillingly thrown into the cold case of a young girl who went missing years before, she must put aside her own ghosts to find the kidnapper. Or is it a murderer?
The book weaves in threads of pop culture, as well as the cruel, misinformation campaigns of Bubba Guns (hello, Alex Jones?!), while seamlessly exploring Vivvy’s ability to ‘see’ certain things. The characters are well-drawn, realistic and relatable, every one of them seeming to have their own beating heart.
A stunning, pacey thriller that will completely sweep you away. If I could give it 10 stars I would. I have no ability to see into the future like Vivvy, but I really hope a sequel is on the way.
