I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump lately, but holy wow, did this one yank me right out of it! I love a good wedding thriller, but this one was a cut above the rest. A unique storyline, complex, intricately developed character, smartly plotted with twists I genuinely didn’t see coming, and scenes described so well I felt like I was actually there, this is a breathtaking thriller about a father’s love for his daughter.

Gulf War veteran and UPS driver Frank Szatowski has been estranged from his daughter Maggie for three years. So when he receives a call from her inviting him to her upcoming wedding, Frank knows he’ll do anything to reconnect. But he soon learns that Maggie’s fiance may be involved in the disappearance of a girl. Before they say ‘I do’, Frank must find out what happened and protect his daughter from making a terrible mistake, even at the risk of his own life.

Intoxicatingly original with a vivid setting, a gripping mystery, and characters I felt I knew, this one is smart, textured and utterly compelling. I can’t recommend highly enough.
