I Am Watching You by Teresa Driscoll
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This suspense novel primarily follows Ella, who sees two men who have just been released from prison chatting up two teenage girls on their way up to London for a night out. The next day, she wakes up to the news that one of the girls has disappeared. A year later, the girl is still missing and Ella has started receiving threatening letters that make her fear for her life.
This is a tense, twisty story with a page-turning plot and beautiful prose. I did find it a little hard to believe that everyone would blame a woman who didn’t call the parents of the girls on the train to tell them they were chatting with ex-cons (who would really do that?), but even with that it’s a great read and I couldn’t put the book down. I highly recommend!
