Oh wow, this book! Phenomenally written with echoes of the Gabby Petito case, I was absolutely riveted from start to finish.
Nina and Simon are the perfect couple. But then they leave for a weekend at Simon’s family’s cabin and only Simon returns. What really happened to Nina? Simon’s parents are wealthy enough to cover him no matter what he’s done. But Nina’s parents won’t let their daughter stay missing.
Gripping, intense, heart breaking. More of a whydunnit than a whodunnit, this is a first-rate thriller that will stay with me for a long time. The story is fresh, sharp and tightly plotted, exploring themes of grief and loss, as well as the fact that this sort of thing happens for too often in real life. This book is perfection.
