Choose Me by Tess Gerritsen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Tess Gerritsen is an auto-buy author, so of course I was eagerly awaiting Choose Me, and it did not disappoint. Smart, chilling, cleverly plotted, plus a protagonist I could really get behind. I adored Detective Frankie Loomis and thought the character elements of her backstory were superbly done, and even Taryn, who is seriously unhinged, has her reasons for being this way.
I understand why some readers felt uncomfortable reading certain scenes, but I feel some authors are inherently more graphic than others, and Gerritsen is one of them. She writes in a sensory way that I just can’t look away from. A thrilling novel with a dark and compelling heart. Don’t miss out on this fast-paced thriller of marriage and betrayal and mistakes you pay the highest price for.
