A tense, clever blend of courtroom drama and psychological suspense! Cavanagh expertly weaves a taut, past-paced narrative where two sisters accuse each other of their father’s brutal murder. The alternating perspectives, of each sister, plus the hidden killer, add an extra layer of intrigue, keeping the tension palpable and the mind guessing which sister it is. I guessed right in the end, but I did keep going back and forth – it’s fifty-fifty after all!
This is the fifth in the Eddie Flynn series, and Eddie proves again to be an incredibly clever, sharp-witted defense attorney. A must-read for legal thriller fans, but also surprising adept at the emotional angle as well. I highly recommend!
