Anna O by Matthew Blake

Anna OAnna O by Matthew Blake
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An ingenious, wildly original thriller with carefully crafted characters and a number of jaw-dropping twists, I loved every second of this book. The book is set around Anna Ogilvy, who was found asleep in the cabin of an exclusive outdoor activity retreat next to a blood-stained knife with only her fingerprints on it. In the neighbouring cabin, her two best friends lay dead. Since then, Anna has not opened her eyes. But Dr Benedict Prince thinks he can wake her up and find out the truth of what happened that fateful night.

Vaguely reminiscent of The Silent Patient, although somehow entirely fresh and original, Anna O is an addictive, page-turner that kept me completely riveted. Utterly absorbing.
