Famous Last Words by Gillian McAllister
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
On the longest day of the year, Cam finds out there’s a hostage situation developing in London. And her husband is the gunman. What follows is hands down one of the best thrillers I’ve read in years. The story of a crime, a marriage, and all the secrets one woman unpicks in an utterly surprising and gripping book.
Fast-paced and deeply poignant, I found every page completely addictive. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt this way about a book, where I simply couldn’t put it down and basically disappeared for most of the day while my family was forced to entertain themselves. I’ve never wanted to give a book more than 5* so much!
Geniusly plotted, highly charged and utterly captivating, read it. That’s all I can say.
