A creepy, vividly written thriller. Lots of gore and gruesome details, but absolutely captivating. I didn’t realize it was the 9th in the series and I think that might have made a difference to how well I knew or understood the characters and their PTSD. I also think the story grew a bit repetitive, the same sort of thing happening over and over (9 victims!). Still, nerve-shredding and intriguing and utterly compelling
