A gripping, page-turner of a thriller full of intrigue and action! The plotting is sharp and compelling, the characters are multi-layered and believable, and the storytelling is completely engrossing.
It begins with a bang at a new theme park. Tom Preacher and his son Leo are seen on CCTV camera entering the theme park, but they never exit. They’ve simply vanished. Years earlier, another disappearance seems to be unrelated, but as the story progressive, we learn of an elaborate web of lies binding the cases together.
An intricately plotted thriller from a master storyteller, The Last Goodbye has everything I love in a thriller. There’s a lot going on, with various timelines, pieces of the plot, and characters, but stick with it and you’ll be rewarded with a gripping tale of intrigue that will keep you very entertained.
I had no idea until posting this review that this was part of a series, so I think it can easily be read as a standalone.
